Happy #trainingtiptuesday! We're going to be talking about crate training and some tips on how to do it. First off, we wish we could tell you that there is a nice, quick, simple, cookie-cutter method for easy crate training. Unfortunately, there isn't. The reason for this is that every dog is different. Dogs are living beings and just like humans, they have different personalities, different ways of learning, different things that scare them, and different things that motivate them. This is why it is so important to train the dog in front of you. Just because your previous dog was able to learn crating easily and now you're frustrated because your puppy doesn't like it, you shouldn't be upset and expect the puppy to be the same as your old dog. But I digress, that is a topic for another day. If you search our Facebook page and look for the word “crate” you will find a few different posts with amazing resources on how to start out crate training and some of the many benefits of crating.
